I've been working as a therapist for 14+ years. In that time, I've worked with many different populations and a variety of issues. This includes adults, couples, children dealing with loss, depression, PTSD, life transitions and addiction. While some of these problems are major and life changing, they have one thing in common; there is a component that is missing. That component is BALANCE.
We tend to be driven in one or several areas of our lives while other, just as important parts suffer. Take the high powered executive. She may be very successful professionally but suffer from IBS, migraines or heart disease. Hence, her career gets the lion’s share of her energy while her physical health is suffering.
Is this always the case? Absolutely not! Many individuals have worked hard to develop balance and stability in their lives. But many of us have not. No surprise when you look at the messages that we get from society, in general. Women must ‘do it all’ to be successful. Men struggle to find a balance between providing for the family and being with the family.
How can we change this? Do we want to? There are ways to do this and I’d like to help. By utilizing the Wheel of Life, I will help you explore the areas of your life that deserve more energy and attention. I am available to work with you privately. Whether it is a one-time consultation or a monthly meeting, we can work to find the balance that you deserve.
